Questions?

Veerle Leduc

How would you describe your role as a marketing and communications coordinator in modular construction?

It is my task to outline and implement marketing strategies that promote our modular units and additional 360° Services to the market. Together with the sales team, I identify target markets and create campaigns to reach those audiences effectively. Additionally, I manage our social media, create content for our website, and oversee the various marketing materials we have produced, such as presentations, brochures, and flyers.

What are the biggest challenges in your job?

One of the biggest challenges is to inform the general public about the benefits of modular construction.
Many people are not well acquainted with it or have a distorted view of the quality and speed with which these buildings are realized.
Additionally, it is a challenge to stand out among the competition.
Many companies offer similar products and services, so we are constantly looking for new ways to differentiate ourselves and highlight our unique selling points.

However, the biggest challenge in my work is effectively managing all the communication channels and tools we use, and doing so in different languages with a limited marketing team.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I especially love the creative aspect and project management. I find it fantastic to come up with new campaigns and see them come to life. Finally, I also enjoy collaborating with other departments, such as sales, project office, and operations, as well as with external marketing companies to create cohesive communication and a recognizable image for our company.

What skills do you think are important for your job?

Attention to detail is crucial, just like creative and strategic insight.
Excellent communication skills are also essential, as I need to convey our message effectively to the diverse sectors our company targets.

In this digital age, it is also important to be able to analyze data and make decisions based on that.

When is your workday really successful?

The perfect workday for me is one where I can complete my entire schedule. Of course, we are talking about the ideal scenario, as in a flexible work environment, the difference between your plan and your actual workday is often significant.

How would your colleagues describe you?

Most colleagues would describe me as a social and fun woman who is always in a good mood, but also knows when it's time to get serious.
They might also see me as a perfectionist with an eye for detail, and some may find that annoying.

Which department would you like to work in?

If I could change jobs for a day, I would choose a completely different role. Maybe as a fitter at Algeco?
I would also enjoy working as a buyer for a day. Such a switch within the company is very educational, as you gain a better understanding of what your colleagues actually do.

What does Algeco mean to you?

For me, Algeco is a place where innovation and collaboration are central.
As a marketing and communications coordinator, I get the opportunity to be creative and contribute to the growth of the company.
The support from my colleagues and the open company culture make Algeco an inspiring work environment where I enjoy working every day.
