Production spaces DWW Radio for VRT in Mechelen

For the second year in a row, the well-known VRT radio stations StuBru and MNM joined forces during the most Warmest Week of the year, heading outside together for DWW Radio.

In the last week of December, there was non-stop broadcasting from the Warmest House for six days, presented by Fien, Kawtar, Eva, and Sander. Outside of that, Flanders also joined in massively.

The Warmest Week has raised 5,081,675 euros in the fight against poverty, which means that 270 projects selected by an independent jury will create opportunities for people in poverty in 2023.

What have we delivered?

If you have visited the Warmste Huis, you definitely spotted our modular units; in total, we delivered no less than 35 units.

The Front Of House was created by four fully ‘branded’ stacked Flash units including an external staircase. This unit lookout faced the grand stage where performances by artists such as Bazart, Bart Peeters, Goldband, Metejoor, and Oscar and the Wolf took place. In the FOH, there is a sound engineer who mixes the audio for the audience, after which the output signals from the FOH console are connected to the sound amplification system.

The general technical area was set up by six interconnected IN36 units.
This way, the VRT staff had a working area of 108 m², allowing the live broadcast to be directed in perfect and especially warm conditions.

Food & Drink stands

In addition to the practical spaces, we were also asked to provide the DWW scenery for Food & Drink stands. The solution we offered consisted of twenty Flash units divided into four buildings, specifically six units for the large bar, where visitors could warm up with a creamy hot chocolate or a refreshing drink to soothe their throats from enthusiastically singing along with the live performances.

Two units served as a practical cup exchange point, four units were set up as an extra bar, and no less than ten units were reserved for the food zone. In this food zone, there was something for everyone.

Ready-to-use solution

All our units are delivered ready to use, optionally with additional 360° services such as sanitary facilities, climate control, kitchenette, decoration, consumables, and much more.

The units for DWW were equipped with the required fire safety equipment and easy access via a safe step, which allowed employees to load materials in and out of the unit in a safer manner.
