An innovative, temporary school building that offers modern facilities for its students while the new college is being constructed.

Algeco offers temporary school building until move-in in 2026

In Soest, Griftland College is opening a temporary school building, "Paleis Noordeinde," as an innovative learning environment during the construction of the new building, which will be completed in August 2026.

This project is a collaboration between Griftland College, consulting firm Bos, and modular construction specialist Algeco.

A modern and comfortable learning environment

The temporary school building of Griftland College provides a space solution for 500 of the 1,350 students and includes 16 modern classrooms, each suitable for at least 30 students.

Additionally, there are 4 offices, two stairwells and two playgrounds. The building is fully equipped with safety features, such as fire doors and smoke detectors, and complies with all safety regulations.

With air conditioning, plenty of natural light, and improved acoustics, it ensures a comfortable learning environment.

 

Environmentally friendly technology and innovative design

The building, realized with Algeco’s modular units, meets modern sustainability requirements. Equipped with CO2 sensors and a heat recovery system, it combines comfort with environmental friendliness.

This temporary solution demonstrates how innovative construction techniques can provide high-quality, flexible facilities that meet the needs of students and teachers.

How did the collaboration go?

Griftland College: “The collaboration with Algeco was very positive. Especially in the initial phase, when there was still a lot of uncertainty, strong mutual coordination was of great importance.
